Millipedes are often called thousand-legged rain worms. They are light brown to black vary in from 1 to 2 inches. Millipedes sometime migrate in large number after heavy rainfall in late summer or as the weather get cooler. They can climb walls on the exterior of the homes and sometimes enter the homes through foundation cracks, basement windows above ground level. Millipedes are usually found in garage, basement or the lower level of the home. They are most active at night when the humidity is higher and in the spring millipedes lay about 300 eggs in the soil.
Millipedes Control Process
Our millipede control process begins with identifying moisture sources and exterior entry points contributing to activity. Targeted exterior perimeter treatments are applied to reduce populations near the foundation, along with recommendations for moisture management and exclusion to prevent future migration indoors.
