Common Habitat of Carpenter Bees:

Lady bugs, also known as lady beetles, are beneficial insects that feed on aphids and other garden pests during the growing season. In the fall, as temperatures cool, they seek warm, protected places to overwinter. Lady bugs commonly gather on sun-exposed exterior walls, roof lines, siding, and around windows before finding tiny cracks and gaps to enter homes. Once inside, they may settle into wall voids, attics, and crawl spaces to remain dormant through the winter months.

Risks & Potential Damage:

Lady bugs are generally considered nuisance pests when they invade homes. Unlike stinging insects, they do not bite or pose serious health risks to people or pets. However, when large numbers enter a structure to overwinter, they can create indoor disturbances and may emit a slight odor if disturbed or crushed.
